These terms and conditions apply to your use of the LAR Acupuncture and Wellbeing website (www.acupuncture-room.co.uk) and to any treatments and services booked with Larissa Mosca at LAR Acupuncture and Wellbeing, Penwortham, Preston. By using this website or booking an appointment, you agree to the terms set out below.

1. About us

LAR Acupuncture and Wellbeing is a Traditional Chinese Medicine acupuncture practice run by Larissa Mosca, a BAcC registered acupuncturist based in Penwortham, Preston. If you have any questions about these terms, please contact us at larissa@acupuncture-room.co.uk or 01772 382387.

2. Appointments and bookings

Appointments can be booked through the website, by email, or by telephone. When you book an appointment, you are agreeing to attend at the date and time arranged, or to give reasonable notice if you are unable to attend.

  • An initial consultation typically lasts 75 to 90 minutes.

  • Follow up appointments typically last 45 to 60 minutes.

  • Appointments are subject to availability.

3. Cancellations and rescheduling

We understand that plans can change. If you need to cancel or rearrange your appointment, please give as much notice as possible, ideally at least 24 hours.

  • Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice may be subject to a cancellation fee, at our discretion.

  • Repeated late cancellations or non attendance without notice may affect your ability to book future appointments.

4. Health information and consent

Before your first treatment, you will be asked to complete a health questionnaire and discuss your medical history. It is important that you provide accurate and complete information, as this helps ensure your treatment is safe and appropriate for you.

You will be asked to give your consent before any treatment begins. You are free to withdraw your consent, or ask for treatment to stop, at any point.

Acupuncture and related treatments such as cupping and tuina massage are generally safe when carried out by a qualified, registered practitioner. However, as with any treatment, individual responses vary, and no specific outcome can be guaranteed.

5. Fees and payment

Current prices for treatments are available on the Prices page of this website, or on request. Payment is due at the time of your appointment, unless otherwise agreed.

  • We accept [list accepted payment methods, for example: card, bank transfer, cash].

  • Prices may be reviewed and updated from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on the website.

6. Suitability for treatment

Acupuncture and TCM treatments are not suitable for everyone in all circumstances. During your consultation, we will discuss your health history to ensure treatment is appropriate. If we believe a treatment is not suitable for you, or that you should seek advice from another healthcare professional first, we will let you know.

Acupuncture and the information provided on this website are not a substitute for advice from your GP or other medical professional. If you have a medical condition, are pregnant, or are taking medication, please let us know before treatment begins.
